Description
I saw three ships was originally arranged for the Harvey Grammar School Carol Service in 2011. During that year, Folkestone held it’s second Triennial Art Festival, which included an installation by Hew Locke of around 100 model ships collected from around the world as well as made in his own studio (see product image). The eclectic fleet was suspended from the nave roof of St Mary and St Eanswythe’s Church, the oldest building in Folkestone, where the school Carol Service takes place each year.
