Description
This tune was composed to bring new life to John Wesley's hymn 'Christ, whose glory fills the sky', with the shape of the melody deliberately emphasising the mood of the text alongside strong harmonies. The texture is influenced by Bach's harmonisation of chorale melodies with regularly moving inner-parts, whilst overall still holding on to influences of other contemporary hymnody from the likes of John Barnard.
