Descant for ‘Thine be the Glory’

Description

This descant was written for the final refrain of the Easter hymn ‘Thine be the glory, risen, conquering Son’. It was composed for and dedicated to Rev. Philip Down who was Rector of St Stephen’s Church, Canterbury, and who went on to be Archdeacon of Maidstone, and subsequently Archdeacon of Ashford, both in the Canterbury Diocese.
